“4-H is a huge part of what makes me who I am today. Growing up in Nebraska on a farm, I couldn’t wait for the days I could show my animal along with all the hard work put into working with that animal. Along with great memories with friends, endless time spent at the fair (living out of the bag packed for that week), 4-H instilled great life lessons that I hope to pass on to my children. You learn to work with others in your club , you learn to care for something other than yourself, and you gain awareness of winning/losing and what it means to work for something. 4-H is incredibly dear to my heart and I hope it continues to have the impact on future generations as it did for me.”
