4-H encourages youth to become better citizens and grow into responsible, active adults.

For more than 100 years, 4H has been welcoming kids of all backgrounds and beliefs, giving them a voice to express who they are and how they make their lives and communities better.

We see that every child has valuable strengths and real influences to improve the world around us. With nearly six million young people across the U.S. and over 143,000 in Nebraska alone, we are America’s largest youth organization.

4-H empowers young people to lead for a lifetime.

We serve 1-in-3 kids in Nebraska and our programs in science, agriculture, healthy living and civic engagement are backed by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as well as a robust community of 4-H volunteers and professionals.

Through hands-on learning, kids build not only confidence, creativity and curiosity, but also life skills such as leadership and resiliency to help them thrive today and tomorrow.
